DIAMOND JUBILEE NAILS | UNION JACK

BRIT JUBILEE NAILS

I love Nail Inc London, the British nail brand, so I'm going to use them to create a stylish & patriotic British nail dasign! :)
I've been seeing a lot of the union jack nails floating around on Tumblr recently and i'm just so excited. It's inspired me to maybe experiment and create my own glittery union jack nail design! Why not? It's actually really easy!

What You Need:

Nail Inc Polishes In: The Hurlingham (Red), St Johns Wood (Blue), Floral Street (White), Burlington Arcade (Glitter - Optional), Orange Sticks, Nail Polish remover, Cotton Buds.

Step 1: Apply a base coat of blue nail polish and wait until it is completely dry.

Step 2: Grab your white nail polish. There's always a thinner edge on nail polish brushes so, using the thin edge on the brush create a star. (4 lines; one vertical, one horizontal and two diagonal in the opposite directions as seen above). Wait until completely dry.

Step 3: Grab your red nail polish. Create a star with a thinner line over the top of the white star just like in the image above.

Step 4: (Optional step) After your nails have dried just for some extra glam, apply a thin layer of glitter nail polish over the top & wait until completely dry.

Step 5: Clean up the edges of your nails with a cotton bud soaked in nail varnish remover. Its always nice to add a clear layer of nail polish to secure and flatten out the whole nail design. Wait until dry, this can often take up to 15mins.

Tip: If this is still a little tricky to achieve the star design, why not use nail art pens or dip the sharp end of an orange stick into your nail polishes and use it as a pen!? You can always clean your  orange sticks afterwards with nail polish. Voila!

Hope that helps! I'd love to see your unique nail designs. Feel free to send me pics so that I can feature them on Fashinate Me's Facebook Page!

BEAUTY | WHAT'S IN MY MAKE UP BAG

I've been getting questions from people more frequently when I'm out and about about what make up products I use daily on my face, so I decided to write a post about what I carry around in my make up bag.

Firstly, I must say, I have a huge make up collection but these products I am showing you are the essential bits that I actually grab quite frequently for my everyday looks.
Sooo what are they already? I'll list what exactly they are in order below as shown in photo.
The products I can't go without are indicated in bold. These are my die hard babies that I'd probably have a big time freak out about if they ran out lol!

Models Own 5 Brush Set
Whistles Make Up Bag (Which my lovely friend, Kelechi, bought me as a birthday gift in April)

Wow, such a long list and I know what you guys are thinking... "Does she use all of that on her face.. all in one go?" ... No, I don't *phew* lol.
I alternate with the products I put on after applying my base.
I aim to do a daily make up tutorial very soon showing my basic and everyday make up routine to achieve a very simple everyday face with a glow that makes me look more a lot more bright eyed and awake.

Hope you guys enjoyed the post. What is your most favourite make up product you can't live without!? Let me know, i'd love to get more new product recommendations. Gosh, it's so hard for me to pick just one!

DIAMOND JUBILEE | CELEBRATE IN STYLE

queens diamond jubilee
1. Friendship Bracelet - Etsy.com
2. Feather Earrings - New Look
3. Leggings - River Island
4. Shoes - Amazon.com
5. Lip Tattoo - Violentlips.com

This morning was a beautiful morning. I woke up to several union jacks hanging out of windows and lovely bunting decorations around the streets, everyone is getting in the mood to celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee this weekend.
It's lovely to see every one coming together, happy and celebrating at a time like this as its such an iconic year for Britain.

Above are some Brit inspired bits i'm loving at the moment, these pieces are really nice for just adding a little bit of Brit to your outfit, stylish and are not OTT. It seems that flags whether it be the British or USA flag are really in style at the moment and I don't know why but they just look SO FRESH & SO CLEAN CLEAN!

Whatever what you are doing why not get in the mood and celebrate in style, even if your not here with us in the UK!
This weekend will be an eventful weekend for us Brits, with loads of celebrations happening all over and loads of cool events.
The most cool events I have heard so far are the Thames River Pageant where there will be up to a thousand boats in one of the largest flotillas ever seen on the River Thames on Sunday the 3rd of June and the Diamond Jubilee Concert where our very own Ed Sheeran, JLS & the violent lips diva Ms Jessie J will be performing (Monday 4th June).
It should be a good LONG weekend!
Bring on the Bank Holiday.

STYLE | TODAY I WISH I WORE...

TIWIW

Influenced by a dress I saw on Net-a-Porter, this is the outfit i'm wishing I have hanging up in my wardrobe right now!
The print on the dress is influenced by the bird trend and the overall look also incorporates the neon trend too, which I'm loving too much at the moment.

Clutch - Jimmy Choo

EVENT | DOLPHIN SUMMER FASHION SHOW

I went along to the Dolphin Summer 2012 Fashion Show this weekend and had such a fun time.
They showcased the best in summer styles and outfits from brands including Marks and Spencers, Primark and New Look.
People were given the opportunity to get a make over with Body Shop and a new hair style with Toni & Guy, the official London Fashion Week sponsors.

I didn't expect to leave with anything but at the end we were all given Toni & Guy / Label M goody bags and bits of information which was very nice of them.
I had such a great time looking at all the different styles and I must say New Look were my favourite for women's wear and Primark for men's wear. I wish I took more images!

OOTD | WILD CHILD

Vest - Primark
Jeans - TK Maxx

Today was my no foundation day. I do this often to allow my skin to breath and feel free! I just wore a light coat f my 'They're Real' mascara from Benefit and neatened up my brows with my Loreal Eyebrow pencil and that was it for the day.
These pics were taken just before a very random water balloon fight (Which was very hilarious).
I think sometimes its important to be free and just be a kid again which is what the aim of today was!

Hope you are all enjoying the weather too folks!

I am so in love with orange at the moment.
I seem to be working it into my wardrobe a lot more frequently so I'm thinking to be a lot more daring and purchase some lovely orange heels to wear this summer.
I've been seeing so many inspirational designs that I love like the Alain Quilici Bess Sandals, so I thought I'd share. I just can't decide which ones to get, I need one that is a reasonable price but still unique, any recommendations?

STYLE | ASOS HAUL

Yesterday I received my lovely ASOS unitard that I ordered a few days ago! Once I saw it I just needed it and had to buy it (Bad Tolu). I think it's amazing, the colours are lovely and intense and the print is very edgy. It's £30 which is also a reasonable price too. I love that I can dress it up and also wear it casual! What do you guys think? I can't wait to wear this out soon!

BEAUTY | ORIGINS BB SPF 15 TINTED MOISTURISER

origins

I am very impressed with the new Origins tinted moisturiser range.
What caught my eye was the impressive 6 shades that it comes in! For a tinted moisturiser that you can get over the counter from your local drugstore, I am very impressed! Origins in general are a very good brand when it comes to natural products for sensitive skins so I can't wait to get my hands on one.
The moisturiser has SPF 15 perfect for skin protection this summer, antioxidants and minimises pores, so its perfect to use early in the morning after just washing your face to close those pores back up.

The consistency of the cream is very light so it will add a natural radiance to skin but also has the coverage to conceal any bits you want to hide away. And to top it all off, just in case you didn't know, white tea is packed with protective nutrients and scientists studies prove it as a healthy skin aid!
This is definitely on my wish list.

STYLE | SAY IT WITH A T!

Say It With a T

Topshop have gone tee-shirt crazy preparing us for those blazing summer days. They've stuck to the  pastel and crop-top trends to help us brighten up our closets.
Never thought I'd say it but I think i'll be back to the girly casual tee's this summer, I absolutely love 'em at the moment. (And you all know I love my crop tops, my love for them goes un-said lol).

Topshop shows us how to work a crop top into your everyday look:

STYLE CRUSH | KIM KARDASHIAN

Kim Kardashian is so stylish and she is officially my girl style crush. Her fashion sense is off the hook, I would love to get lost in her closet for a day or two. She was recently spotted in London without her signature long locks and featured on the Alan Carr show which I'm sure would have been fun to watch. Ah, I love Kim!

Here are two styling suggestions for inspiration:

BEAUTY | N.Y.C & MUA

Some new beauty bits I bought the other day:

N.Y.C - Lip Stain in 493 Champagne Stain

This was my first ever lip stain product bought and I am absolutely obsessed with it. It dries instantly and lasted all evening. I'm looking to find a light pink and maybe another bolder colour

N.Y.C Nail Polish in 253 Mint Macaroon

Finally found an affordable mint green colour lovely for the season

MUA Eye Liner in Snow White

Going to experiment and jump on to the the white eyeliner band wagon. Use white eyeliner on your lower lash line after applying your make up to achieve a wider and brighter looking eye
